Empson Housing
Empowering More People, Skills Opportunities and Network is the acronym for EMPSON Housing. An organisation that works directly with mild to moderate learning disabilities from 18+ years old and those who are facing homelessness to engage in the communities they live in. Our clients can be either or a combination of Care Leavers, Prison Leavers, and single people who may be at risk or facing homelessness.
EMPSON Housing is a not-for-profit supported living provider that uses a “needs-led” approach. Every adult who uses our service learns to enhance their existing skills with support as they transition into independent living.

Supported living – This provides accommodation with one-to-one support and learning the necessary life skills that will enable clients to live independently in the community.

Our Vision
Empowering – Identify what this means to clients and how to implement this in their lives
More – Goal settings, what are important to clients and how this can be achieved
People – Identifying mentors and others to elevate clients to the next level or experience
Skills – what specific skills the clients will need or enhance existing ones by providing a detailed road map from where they are and where they need to be
Opportunities – Providing a platform for clients to connect with others or a space to discuss what may be blocking them on their journey
Network – Matching clients with our approved network for work experience, apprenticeships, employment, voluntary work etc to boast self-confidence, esteem, mental well-being are just to mention a few benefits.
WHAT WE DO
EMPSON Housing supports people with learning disabilities to live in their community via essential life skills care leavers, prison leavers and single people who are either at risk or facing homelessness are welcomed. We understand that everyone is unique and may need assistance with their day to day living to promote living their best life.
Skills, Opportunities & Network
Our Each One Teach One incentive encourages people who have a skill they are proud of to share with our clients as this would expose them to new opportunities that would broaden their experiences.

VIPs
Right now we are looking for our VIP, Voluntary Important People to join our team. If you have a minimum of 4 hours to commit to working with people with learning disabilities, we would love to hear from you.
In return you will receive the following:
